Roaster School 101 is a beginner-friendly, hands-on roasting workshop designed to demystify the process of turning green beans into something beautiful (and brown).
We’ll cover the fundamentals and then some, including:
Roasting machine anatomy
How green coffee variables (origin, altitude, etc.) affect your approach
Using machine controls to follow a roast recipe
Digital data logging
Roast phases and degree of roast
Evaluating roasts through cupping
You’ll get supervised hands-on time roasting on our Arc 800 and go home with beans that you roasted. Expect to leave with confidence, practical skills, and a brand-new appreciation for what happens behind every great cup of coffee.
